The first part of the route, characterized by a panorama of ancient olive trees, leads to the town of Coreggia. Along the “Panoramica” of Monopoli, a small climb of about 5 kilometers, it is possible to enjoy a wonderful view between the intense blue of the sea and an expanse of olive trees that stretches from the coast to the hills of the Murgia. At the end of the slight slope we will enter the district of Monopoli, bounded by dry stone walls and Trulli, and from there reach Alberobello, “capital of the trulli and UNESCO world heritage”.
You will be surprised by the peculiarity of the houses of Alberobello: you will have the opportunity to visit the quaint streets of the village, full of souvenir shops and dining options where you can taste the local delicacies, allowing yourself a relaxing lunch break.
After lunch we will cycle for about 20 kilometers along the districts of Valle d’Itria and then return to Masseria Santa Teresa.
This itinerary, about 50 kilometers long, will lead you to the historic centers of Castellana Grotte and Conversano, and ends in the wonderful town of Polignano a Mare.

Along the “Panoramica” of Monopoli we will cycle towards Castellana Grotte for about 17 kilometers to arrive in the small historical center of the town. Immediately afterwards we will continue to Conversano, an ancient agricultural center, built on a high ground of the south-eastern Murge, famous above all for the production of excellent cherries. We will visit its historic center where we can admire the castle of Norman origin, the cathedral and the convent of San Benedetto.
In the beautiful Piazza we can also take the opportunity to have a coffee break. We will get back in the saddle and, covering about 10 kilometers – mainly downhill, we will approach the sea and visit one of the most fascinating points of Puglia, Polignano a Mare.
Polignano a Mare is a point of attraction for the fans of the “Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series” and it is a village overlooking on the cliff. Once we enter the old city we can admire the typical architectural and narrow streets that lead to the characteristic panoramic balconies.
Continuing along the coast we will return to the Masseria Santa Teresa.
This itinerary, about 50 kilometers long, will lead us to the discovery of the typical colors and scents of Puglia …. the Adriatic Sea will be the frame.

Departure 10.00 am from Masseria Santa Teresa (Monopoli).
After a morning bike ride of approximately 12 kilometers of road we will arrive in the fraction of Capitolo, a well known local bathing area. Cycling further along the coast we will head for the excavations of Egnazia, one of the most interesting archaeological sites of Puglia which those interested may optionally visit. After the break, in a few kilometers, we will arrive to Savelletri, mainly known for its characteristic port and for the presence of ancient buildings on the cliffs called the “White Houses”. Along the costline, after about 12 kilometers, we will arrive in Monopoli: where we will visit the historic center of high medieval origin.
We will cross the high perimeter walls, to discover its fabulous architecture, until we reach the suggestive “Giuseppe Garibaldi” square which is full of places where you can have a local snack. After enjoying the stop and the delights of Monopoli, we will return to the Masseria along the last 8 kilometers.
This itinerary, about 60 kilometers long, will lead you to discovery of Puglian traditions and will be a also good opportunity to taste our dairy specialties.

After going through the “Overview” of Monopoli we will go into the dense network of districts and, pedaling for about 20 kilometers, we will reach the town of Locorotondo a characteristic Apulian village with a circular plan, known for its “cummerse”, typical houses with a pitched roof. Walking through the narrow streets of the historic center it is easy to be enchanted by its fairytale atmosphere and out of time, between panoramic views and ancient churches.
Walking through the alleys and the typical stone streets we can take advantage to make a short break.
Continuing for about 10 kilometers, and crossing a fascinating we will reach the locality of La Selva di Fasano which preserves a real naturalistic treasure, among the Mediterranean scrub, the trulli and the caves, the nearby sea and the splendid panoramic views from the top of the slope of the Murge. And for this reason it has become a welcoming tourist resort, dotted with residences surrounded by greenery.
At the end of the visit and the break, we will return to Masseria Santa Teresa.

Departure 10.00 am from Masseria Santa Teresa (Monopoli).
Passing through the locality “Antonelli” we will cross the “Panoramica” of Monopoli;
from there we will continue for a few kilometers on a provincial road, and then go back into the dense network of the districts of Monopoli. After about 20 kilometers through the scenic Puglian landscapes, we will reach the “Grotta del Trullo”. This cave, protected by a trullo, is of karstic origin and characterized by the formations of stalagmites and stalactites. Is the first cave in Puglia to be opened for open to the public. Upon arrival we will first have some time to relax in the park tat surrounds the cave.
Hereafter it is possible to visit the cave (optionally, price not including). Standard tours take about 30 minutes. Finally we will resume our bike ride and return to Masseria Santa Teresa.
